How pricing works at the shop
Prices vary by job, so we don't post any here. This is how we get to yours.
What decides the price
Septic and well work is priced by what is underground and how hard it is to reach.
Septic: tank size, hose run, buried lids
Well: pump depth, pipe, parts on the truck
Plumbing: access and materials
Distance from the shop to your road
What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't
The estimate covers labor, parts and the disposal of what we pump. It leaves out what we can't see yet.
Not included: digging to find buried lids
Not included: drain field repair found later
Not included: county permit fees
Not included: wall or floor repair after plumbing
What happens at the visit
We look first, tell you what we found and what we suggest. If you go ahead with a repair we diagnosed on the visit, the visit goes toward it.
After hours
We keep office hours and don't run a night crew. After we close, leave a message; we call back first thing, and the price is the same.
When you get the number
You get a written price by text or email before work starts. If the job changes once the tank or the pump is open, we stop and tell you before we go on.
Pricing questions
Can you give me a price over the phone?
For a pump-out we can often give a range once we know the tank size and how far it is. For repairs we need to see the job.
Do you charge for the visit?
We say before we come. A repair you approve on the visit takes the visit into account.
Do you offer financing?
Ask us. If we do, we give you the terms in writing first.
What if the job turns out bigger?
We stop, tell you what we found and give you a new written price. Nothing goes ahead without your yes.
